If something does not work
Start with the published page. These checks help you find what to fix on the website and what to ask the Robo operator to change.
For anyone editing the websiteCheck what you see
Keep the exact page URL and any visible error. They help the operator find the cause.
The button does not appear
Check that the published page contains the complete script. Exclude widget.js from cache optimizers. Ask the operator to confirm that the widget is enabled. A 404 configuration error can mean it is off or the assistant ID is wrong.
The website is not authorized
Send the exact domain to the operator. They add it to the allowed list, save and ask you to reload. Check www and the preview domain too. This problem can appear as a 403 error.
The button opens a blank window
Open the website over HTTPS. The public chat does not allow embedding on HTTP pages, including http://localhost. The browser may call this a frame-ancestors error. If HTTPS is already in use, check the hosting security policy below.
The field or suggestions do nothing
Check that the real widget code is installed. Place the connecting script after the field and buttons. Keep the IDs, use only one copy, and check that the editor did not remove the script or isolate the HTML in an iframe.
The old position or image is still showing
For a position change, replace the installation snippet. For an image or other console setting, wait about a minute and reload the page. If a new image uses the same URL, its hosting cache may also need refreshing.
The widget opens but does not send another question
The conversation may have ended or reached its question limit. The field opens that conversation in its current state. It does not bypass the limit or the consent step.
For the person maintaining the website code
The browser's developer tools have their own console. This is not the Robo management panel and does not require a Robo login. Look for messages starting with “Owari Robo widget:”.
Example code · adapt to your website
Example: restore the widget after navigation
Some site frameworks replace the whole page body. Call this from your navigation callback after that replacement. It restores the installed widget; it does not install a different assistant.
window.OwariRobo?.mount();
